Jonathan Salzman first started this model in 2015 while living in Chicago. He led the original app's tech development, rolling out the platform, to recruiting suppliers, and enabling buyers across Chicagoland. He has directly advised over 500 SMBs to work better with complex procurement organizations across the country.

As a thought-leader on procurement-driven economic development, his work led to the creation of other anchor buyer networks in DC, Baltimore, Providence, Philadelphia and more. He's been an invited speaker to events for Living Cities and Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities.

Since then, Jonathan has run operations and supply chains in highly regulated industries, including medical devices and controlled substances. He has deep experience intermediating between regulators, businesses, community leaders, and big buyers—and he has a passion for driving collaboration between all.

An avid sailor and skier, Jonathan sees the climate changing more every year—and is committed to accelerating decarbonization to minimize the long-term impacts of climate change.  He's a proud member of the LGBTQ community, plays #10 and #13 on the Boston Ironsides RFC, and is part of the Atlantic Council's Out in Energy group.
